Summary : After a goalless first half, Haiti finally opened the scoring in the second half. Roseline Éloissaint scored in the 68th minute with a left-footed shot from the left side of the penalty area, finding the top left corner.

Haiti doubled their lead in the 89th minute when Melchie Dumornay, nicknamed "Corventina" converted a penalty after Naomi Piqué fouled her in the box.

Haiti won the match 2-0 without much effort from the Grenadières against a Suriname side that tried in vain to create chances and put on a good show for their home crowd, lacking both ideas and, at times, talent. Haiti temporarily takes the lead in Group D.
